So you're getting married and there are lots to think about; venue, wedding cake, guest lists, invitations, the list goes on. But one thing that is quite often left until a later date is the groom and groomsmen's outfits. What ties colours match the colour of the suit? Should a pocket square match it? Must the ties match the bridesmaid dress?

It can really be a lot to think about. So we've put together 10 stylish wedding looks for grooms and groomsmen to consider and calm their nerves.

LOOK ONE: IT'S A MATCH

The rules of men's fashion stipulates that your pocket square and tie should never match, but many of our customers feel more comfortable pairing them up with the same fabric and colour as they don't know what combination works best. If this is how you feel, don't hesitate to get in contact with us via phone, email or live chat.

This look would look even better with a simple white pocket square in clear cut fold. The coral tie, paired with the beautiful rose, makes a dapper combination in itself.

LOOK TWO:THE PERFECT COLOUR COMBO

This tie and pocket square combination is brilliantly paired. The red and blue check on the pocket square work perfectly with the purple tie. After all, red and blue make purple.

The tie is a classic plain colour, but is colourful enough that it doesn't require a pattern or print.

LOOK THREE:BARE POCKET

Some people prefer not to wear pocket squares, and many fashion gurus say you shouldn't wear one if you're wearing a boutonnière (the floral attachment). As fashion leaders have conflicting advise on whether you wear one or not, it is entirely your choice.

LOOK FOUR:KEEPING IT LOW KEY

Many grooms are choosing to play it cool on their big day. In the 21st Century, weddings are no longer bound by rules and requirements, but are a celebration for the bride and groom to design to their own taste. If that means ditching the three-piece suit for a short sleeved shirt and braces, so be it.

This outfit is a really great low-key but stylish look for any groom wanting a modern trendy vibe for their wedding.

LOOK FIVE:THE BOUTONNIERE

The colour match of the tie and boutonnière indicates that the bridesmaid dresses at this wedding is the same champagne pink colour. This is often the most popular way of deciding the colour of the groom's accessories as couple try to avoid a clash of different colours on the big day.

LOOK SIX:REAL MEN WEAR PINK

As the saying goes "real men wear pink!", and wedding days are no exception. Navy and blue suits are the colour of choice for weddings, with pink being a fantastic pairing for these colours. The outdated idea that pink is only to be worn by women is being eradicated by couples tying the knot in the 21st Century as they choose shades from soft blush to raspberry to vibrant pink (as seen here).

LOOK SEVEN: PAISLEY PASSION

Paisley is incredibly popular for weddings. The intricate stylish pattern is perfect for an occasion like a wedding, where attention to detail is visible in every part of the day. This groom has chosen to match the colour of his paisley tie to his suit, while matching the colour of his pocket square to his shirt. If you're worried about colour variations, this is a safe decision to make, but paisley prints are generally mixed in colour, so don't be too scared about using them.

LOOK EIGHT: FLORAL POCKETS

Floral prints are perfect for weddings, where flowers are a primary feature of the day. Simple but beautiful, they make great pocket squares when paired up with a plain coloured tie.

LOOK NINE: DOTTY FOR DOTS

If you're unsure of patterns and prints, but know what type of colour you want, then simple dots are your best bet for a fail-safe stylish look. Our Chiswick collection is among our most popular, as well as our Pin Dots variety.

LOOK TEN: OUTFIT CHANGE

This groom went for a natural country feel - but only after a quick outfit change. Originally wearing a smart suit and tie combination for the ceremony, this groom then changed into a more casual comfortable outfit of tweed waistcoat and bow tie. By doing this, you can have the smart traditional look for the main event, and a relaxed (but still stylish) take for the after-party.
